Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- In-depth knowledge of horticulture and botany.
- Knowledge of Mediterranean climate flora.
- Knowledge of biodiversity and differentiated management.
- Pruning, planting and weeding techniques.
- Health and safety rules for public buildings (ERP).
- Basic English (A1, A2).
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website by sending your CV and cover letter to the Mairie de Menton.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
