Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A contract may be offered when no civil servant application has succeeded.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: Bac+2 or Bac+3 ideally
Experience: Significant experience in the field can replace the diploma
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of planning law and rules for public buildings (ERP)
- Technical and legal skills in urban planning
- Ability to use a planning file software and a GIS
- Ability to read plans
- Good communication and writing skills, organised
- Valid driving licence (permis B) required
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 12 (Closes in 12 days)
Apply only by postal mail to the town hall, for the attention of the Mayor. Write the job title and offer number in your letter.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Valid driving licence (permis B) is mandatory
- Site visits and taking part in committees

- A contract staff contract cannot exceed 3 years, renewable up to 6 years
