Open to civil servants and contract agents. A contract agent can be hired if no civil servant applies, for the grades of engineer, principal engineer or senior engineer.
Category: Category A (executive)
Diploma: Engineering degree preferred (Bac+5)
The profile they look for:
- Engineering degree, Bac+5 preferred
- Ability to write administrative and legal documents
- Ability to prepare and follow up public works contracts
- Ability to guide and check the carrying out of works
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Ability to represent the local authority with external bodies
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
