Civil servants in the technician grades (including senior technician) of the territorial civil service, and contract staff. A contract worker may be hired if no civil servant has applied.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: Bac (level 4) for non-civil servants; bac+2 in a building specialty preferred
The profile they look for:
- Able to diagnose a building and plan repairs ahead.
- Good knowledge of how construction materials and equipment are installed.
- Knowledge of ERP and ERT rules: asbestos, radon, accessibility.
- Works in a team with autonomy, responsiveness, rigour and discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
