Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is a category C entry grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Open from the baccalaureate (bac)
Experience: Beginners accepted; 2 years in a local authority preferred
The profile they look for:
- Training open from the baccalaureate (bac).
- Two years of experience in a local authority is preferred.
- Knowledge of the local government setting and planning law.
- Knowledge of business tools (OXALIS, GIS) would be ideal.
- Good skills in Microsoft Office.
- Good people skills, rigour, discretion and autonomy.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
