Civil servants can apply by transfer or secondment. Contract staff can also apply, because an entry-level category C grade allows direct hiring without a competitive exam.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP to BAC PRO in car maintenance (level 3 or 4)
Experience: Experienced in cars or heavy vehicles
The profile they look for:
- Diploma at level 3 or 4 in car maintenance.
- Driving licence category B.
- Knowledge of car mechanics and bodywork, or heavy vehicles.
- Experience in cars or heavy vehicles.
- Good office software skills and fleet management software use.
- Teamwork, organisation and rigour.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
