Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.

The profile they look for:
- Work fully on your own.
- Report to your manager and raise alerts about any problems.
- Be available during the day and at weekends.
- Be discreet, patient and quick to react.
- Give a positive image of the commune.
- Some technical knowledge is a plus.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Service housing is compulsory, for one or two people at most.
- Availability required during the day and at weekends.
- Access to CNAS social benefits and contribution to mutual health and insurance costs.
