Civil servants and contract workers can apply. The job is open to the grades of assistant d'enseignement artistique, including principal first class and principal second class.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: DE de formation musicale, DUMI or DEM, or on the eligibility list (liste d'aptitude)
Experience: Similar experience in the same type of job is appreciated
The profile they look for:
- Hold the DE de formation musicale, the DUMI or a DEM, or be on the eligibility list (liste d'aptitude).
- Master artistic techniques (harmony, sight-reading, composition).
- Know teaching methods such as Dalcroze and Sound Painting.
- Be able to work in a team and across different areas.
- Hold a category B driving licence (required).
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time: 4 hours (4/20 of a full week), with occasional evening and weekend work.
- Interview: 30 minutes of a practical case study, then 30 minutes of interview.
- The job is to be filled as soon as possible, vacant from 02/11/2026.
- A contract may be offered while waiting to recruit a civil servant (article L332-14).
