Diploma: Vocational baccalaureate, BEP or CAP in car mechanics, highly valued
Experience: Experience essential in vehicle maintenance, ideally heavy trucks

- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, ideally heavy trucks.
- Good knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics.
- Car driving licence required; heavy vehicle licence appreciated.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours: 6am to 1pm and 12:30pm to 7:30pm, alternating one week in two.
- Standby: winter road duty; Saturday morning possible on a volunteer basis.
- Work in a workshop, in a noisy setting, with heavy lifting.
- Benefits: 75% of public transport pass paid and meal vouchers (60% paid by employer).
