Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly at a category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Vocational baccalaureate in electrotechnics, equipment electrician or building electrician
Experience: Listed as expert level, length not stated
The profile they look for:
- Strong skills in building electrical work.
- Electrical authorisations suited to the work, or ability to obtain them.
- Knowledge of plumbing and second-fix building work.
- Ability to diagnose a simple fault.
- Public service mindset, rigour and professional discretion.
- Autonomy, responsiveness and teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
