Civil servants and contract workers can apply. People who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired directly for this entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Vocational baccalaureate, BEP or CAP in electrical work, or significant experience in building electrics
The profile they look for:
- Know the electrical standards for buildings, including public buildings open to visitors.
- Use personal and collective protective equipment.
- Drive a light vehicle or a machine.
- Have a public service mindset and be polite with users.
- Work well in a team and report to your manager.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- On-call duty on weekdays, at night and at weekends, about once a month.
- Driving licence B required; licence C or BE is a plus.
- Regular outdoor work and travel across all the buildings.
- Professional certifications wanted (electrical, aerial platform, CACES, scaffolding, asbestos).
