Civil servants on the aptitude list and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP in electrical work
The profile they look for:
- Electrical diploma, at least a CAP or BEP.
- Electrical authorisations and CACES nacelle certificate required.
- Skilled at diagnosing and repairing installations.
- Knows work safety rules and standards.
- Knowledge of IT and telephone systems.
- Takes special care over the quality of the work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 15 (Closes in 18 days)
Apply on the employer's website or send your application by email to the council. Applying by post to the Human Resources department is also possible.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time of 38h45 per week, with 21 days of ARTT leave per year.
- Electrical on-call duty from Friday 8am to the following Friday 8am.
- Statutory pay plus a bonus scheme.
