Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly for this entry-level grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of the local authority and types of waste.
- Good contact skills, listening and teaching skills.
- Organisation skills and good office software skills.
- Public speaking and group facilitation skills.
- Availability, diplomacy and courtesy.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 2 (Closes in 3 days)
Apply on the employer's website. You can also send your CV and cover letter by post to the President.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work possible on Saturdays, Sundays or at unusual hours depending on service needs.
- Driving licence B required.
- Remote work not possible.
