Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. The job is open to the grades of childcare assistant, early childhood educator and nurse specialised in children.
Category: Category A (executive)
Diploma: State diploma as a medical doctor, nurse specialised in children (puériculteur), early childhood educator, childcare assistant (auxiliaire de puériculture) or psychomotor therapist.
Experience: Beginners accepted. Experience as director or deputy director of an early childhood centre is a plus.

- Know child development and young children's needs.
- Be able to lead and manage a team.
- Manage administration and budget.
- Understand how local authorities work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
