Category: Category A (executive)
Diploma: State diploma of educator of young children (Diplôme d'État d'Éducateur de Jeunes Enfants) or equivalent.
The profile they look for:
- Ability to work independently to organise and run the centre.
- Managing a team whose size changes.
- Availability, adaptability, patience and self-control.
- Team spirit, listening and observation skills, duty of discretion and public service ethos.
- Regular contact with families, the PMI and the CAF.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
