Open to civil servants (titulaires) at the attaché or attaché principal grades, and to contract staff. A contract worker can be hired when no civil servant has applied.

The profile they look for:
- Leading the management team and the municipal services.
- Designing and steering the resource management strategy.
- Knowledge of public budget and accounting rules.
- Knowledge of the legal framework and rules for local authorities.
- Ability to negotiate and represent the authority with local partners.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- Interviews are in person only, in weeks 45 and 46.
