Open to civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents. A contract agent can be hired if no civil servant application succeeds.

Diploma: BPJEPS and/or territorial animator grade
The profile they look for:
- Holder of the BPJEPS and/or a territorial animator grade.
- Knowledge of the rules for collective childcare centres for minors.
- Management and people skills, including handling conflicts.
- Good command of office and IT tools.
- Ability to organise your own work and the service.
- Writing skills and the ability to summarise.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Category C: an entry grade allows direct hiring without a competitive exam.
- A contract agent's contract cannot exceed 3 years, renewable up to 6 years.
