Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the design rules for roads, cycle paths, structures and buildings
- Know the rules for construction, roads or town planning
- Master computer-aided design and drawing software
- Be able to do quantity take-off and stress calculations
- Follow specifications
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
