Civil servants and contract staff can apply. No competitive exam is needed, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP in cooking, or BAC PRO in restaurant work, or higher
The profile they look for:
- CAP or BEP in cooking, BAC PRO in restaurant work, or higher.
- Driving licence category B.
- Master cooking techniques and mass catering practices.
- Master food hygiene and safety rules for mass catering.
- Able to adapt, well organised, good team player.
- A sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time, 38 hours per week.
- Continuous day shift, starting early in the morning during school terms.
- Leave and RTT days must be taken during school holidays.
- Work clothes and protective equipment provided.
