Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant applies. No competitive exam is needed for this entry-level category C grade.

- Follow hygiene rules for school catering.
- Communicate with children, teachers and managers.
- Manage stress and emotions.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer’s website linked from the official offer. You can also send your CV and cover letter to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time, 35 hours per week, continuous shift with a 45-minute break.
- Work clothes provided: overall, gloves, shoes.
- Long periods standing, busy work and noise during meals.
- No remote work possible.
