Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.

The profile they look for:
- Master food production techniques for school catering.
- Know and apply hygiene and safety rules, including the HACCP method.
- Know the rules of balanced diets and nutritional quality.
- Organise your work according to the schedule and instructions.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Use correct lifting and handling movements.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C post, no management duties.
- Remote work is not possible.
- The listed location is Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, but the title mentions Meaux.
- The cook may stand in for the head cook during short absences.
