Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a public exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Expert level stated. Training in a similar job is required.
The profile they look for:
- Must have been trained in a similar job (required).
- Know cooking techniques and hygiene rules, including HACCP.
- Be able to read technical sheets.
- Be rigorous and well organised.
- Be independent, get along well with others and work in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- No management duties.
- Work is annualised during school terms, with leave taken during school holidays.
- Hours Monday to Friday, with after-school care from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm if needed.
