Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the post is open at the entry grade of category C.

Diploma: CAP/BEP in cooking, professional baccalaureate in culinary arts, or professional cook certificate in catering
Experience: Experienced level wanted
The profile they look for:
- CAP/BEP in cooking, professional baccalaureate in culinary arts, or professional cook certificate in catering
- Mastery of cooking techniques for school catering
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety, HACCP method
- Good relations with children, staff, parents and elected officials
- Able to work independently and in a team
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence (permis B) required.
- Remote work not possible.
- Post vacant from 1 March 2027.
- Category C, no management role.
