Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly for this category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Solid training in traditional or catering cooking.
- Know and follow strict hygiene and safety rules, including HACCP.
- Master cooking and cleaning techniques.
- Prepare dishes suited to children's health conditions or various diets.
- Be rigorous, organised and motivated by public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's site, or send your cover letter and CV to the town hall by post or by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
