Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP in cooking (level 3)
Experience: Experienced; experience in group catering recommended
The profile they look for:
- Level 3 diploma (CAP or BEP in cooking) required.
- Significant experience in group catering recommended.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety rules.
- Ability to manage orders and stock.
- Rigour, responsiveness and ability to adapt.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 15 (Closes in 18 days)
Apply on the employer's website, from the official offer, or send your application by post to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Category C post, with no management duties.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
