Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the adjoint technique grade is a category C entry grade.

Diploma: CAP cooking, BEP cooking or bac pro catering, or a higher diploma
Experience: Experienced
The profile they look for:
- Holder of a CAP cooking, BEP cooking or bac pro catering, or a higher diploma.
- Master cooking techniques and hygiene rules (HACCP).
- Know how to prepare dishes suited to diets and medical conditions.
- Be rigorous, independent and well organised.
- Have good people skills and be able to work in a team.
- Have a sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
