Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP cooking, BEP cooking or Bac Pro Restauration, or a higher diploma
Experience: Experienced level
The profile they look for:
- Cooking diploma: CAP, BEP or Bac Pro Restauration, or a higher diploma
- Solid training in traditional and collective cooking
- Follows hygiene and safety rules, including HACCP
- Can read technical sheets and present dishes well
- Organised and able to work well in a team
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your cover letter and CV to the mayor, by post or by email to the town hall. You can also apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
