1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP cooking or BEP cooking or bac pro catering, or a higher diploma
Experience: Experienced
The profile they look for:
- Hold a CAP or BEP in cooking, a bac pro in catering, or a higher diploma.
- Have solid training in traditional and collective cooking.
- Know and follow hygiene and safety rules, including the HACCP method.
- Know elderly people and their needs.
- Be rigorous, well organised, and good in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 14 (Closes in 15 days)
Apply on the employer's website or on the official offer page. Send the cover letter and CV to the director of the nursing home.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Category C post, with no management duties.
- Contract limited to 3 years, renewable up to 6 years maximum.
