Civil servants and contract workers can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the adjoint technique grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP cuisine, BEP cuisine or bac pro restauration, or a higher diploma
The profile they look for:
- Hold a CAP cuisine, BEP cuisine or bac pro restauration, or a higher diploma.
- Have solid training in traditional and collective cooking.
- Know hygiene rules and the HACCP method.
- Read technical sheets and master cooking techniques.
- Be organised, rigorous and good in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- The job is in an EHPAD (nursing home): dishes must suit various diets.
