1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know food hygiene and safety rules, including the HACCP method.
- Master cooking techniques and how to present dishes.
- Know the nutritional needs of different groups and basic allergy rules.
- Be rigorous, organised and able to work as a team.
- Have a public service mindset and professional discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 15 (Closes in 16 days)
Send your application by email to the employer, at the address given in the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Job vacant from 1 December 2026.
- Grades open: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal, agent de maîtrise.
- Reinforcement or replacement duties possible.
