Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the adjoint technique grade (category C) is an entry grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Solid training in traditional and catering cooking.
- Know hygiene rules, including the HACCP method.
- Be able to prepare meals suited to children's diets and medical conditions.
- Be rigorous and well organised.
- Work well in a team while being autonomous.
- Have a sense of public service and good people skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 6 (Closes in 8 days)
Send your cover letter and CV by email to the employer before 6 November 2026. The address is given in the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- 35 hours spread over 4 days during the school term.
- Cleaning hours to be done during each school holiday period.
- Remote work is not possible for this job.
