Civil servants and contract agents. A contract agent can be hired if no civil servant has applied. The job is also open to people who did not pass a civil service competition.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Level 3 (former level V) diploma in cooking
The profile they look for:
- Level 3 diploma in cooking.
- Knowledge of hygiene, disinfection and safety.
- Knowledge of the Plan de Maîtrise Sanitaire and the nutrition decree.
- Culinary techniques and dish presentation.
- Good organisation, rigour and teamwork.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle the unexpected.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
