Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly for this entry-level category C grade. A contract agent can be hired when no civil servant application has succeeded.

Diploma: CAP or BEP in cooking or catering
Experience: Beginners accepted
The profile they look for:
- CAP or BEP in cooking or catering.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety rules, including HACCP.
- Knowledge of special diets and food allergy procedures.
- Rigour and respect for hygiene and safety rules.
- Teamwork and punctuality.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 13 (Closes in 15 days)
Apply on the employer’s website, or send your cover letter and CV by email or post to the Ville de Fort-de-France, stating the exact job title.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
