Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.

The profile they look for:
- Good organisation skills and efficiency.
- Good physical stamina, often working standing up.
- Knowledge of early childhood and collective catering.
- Ability to take limited initiatives.
- Good team spirit.
- Interest in professional training.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- The cook works under the direct responsibility of the nursery director.
