Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired while waiting for a civil servant, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP, technical catering track
Experience: Experienced
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of the HACCP method and food hygiene rules.
- Knowledge of cooking rules for mass catering.
- Knowledge of GEMRCN nutrition recommendations.
- Ability to organise and lead a kitchen team.
- Good people skills, independence and initiative.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job with team management.
- Remote work is not possible.
- Uniform required: hairnet, shoes, no jewellery.
- Knowledge of first aid is welcome.
