Open to permanent civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Cooking diploma (CAP, BEP, bac pro or BTS)
The profile they look for:
- Independence, method and ability to plan ahead.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene rules (HACCP method).
- Teamwork spirit and willingness to suggest ideas.
- Rigour, organisation and sense of responsibility.
- Good people skills and ability to listen.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, continuous day shift from 7am to 2:30pm.
- Saturday work if needed.
- Wearing the work uniform is mandatory.
- Possible mobility between municipal staff canteens.
