Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade of category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licences B and C required.
- Skills in reasoned mowing and green road maintenance.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules, an advantage.
- Sense of public service and enjoys teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours: 7:45-12:00 and 13:00-16:30, with possible shifted hours.
- On-call duty for road and winter safety; work outside hours possible in snow or ice.
- Driving licences B and C required.
- Meal card: employer pays 60%.
