Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant has applied. No competitive exam is needed, as the entry grade is category C.

The profile they look for:
- Be skilled at driving machines and the flail mower.
- Know how to maintain and repair roads and road edges.
- Follow safety rules and protect your colleagues.
- Show rigour, independence and a public service mindset.
- Hold the required CACES R482 certificates and a B driving licence.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A C driving licence is preferred.
- You may be asked to support other departments if needed.
- Gritting in case of snow is part of the duties.
