Diploma: Civil engineering, public works or technical management of local authorities
Experience: Proven experience managing technical teams
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of how local authorities work.
- Good knowledge of building trades and energy performance.
- Knowledge of public procurement and public finance rules.
- Proven management skills.
- Driving licence category B required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Irregular working hours, with variable time commitments depending on the job's duties.
- Driving licence category B required; licences C and BE and CACES certificates are strong assets.
