Civil servants (titulaires or civil service exam pass holders) and contract agents can apply. A candidate who is not a civil servant can be hired directly, as the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Bac+2 in civil engineering, or similar experience
The profile they look for:
- Bac+2 in civil engineering or similar experience, or a civil service exam pass.
- Good knowledge of road works, small masonry, road signs and urban cleanliness.
- Knowledge of street furniture and how to assess its condition.
- Knowledge of planning and managing a small team.
- Driving licence B or E(B), and CACES or other certificates as needed.
- Public service mindset, rigour, independence and good people skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work is outdoors, with frequent travel to sites.
- Working time is 37h30, Monday to Friday, with weekend duty in summer on a rota.
- Place of work: Saint-Yrieix lake.
- Electrical authorisation B0H0 is a plus, depending on the work.
