Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Technical knowledge of buildings and maintenance.
- Able to analyse needs, propose technical solutions and cost works.
- Good control of supplies and equipment management.
- Able to follow the budget of operations.
- Able to organise, plan and lead a field team.
- Available, punctual, methodical and autonomous.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. You can also send your CV and cover letter to the mairie's human resources department, by email or by post.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
