Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the entry category C grade allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- In-depth knowledge of differentiated green space management.
- Strong knowledge of maintaining and pruning plants.
- Good knowledge of health and safety rules at work.
- Ability to organise, supervise and plan work.
- Ability to handle conflicts and manage priorities.
- Comfortable with digital tools.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B preferred.
- Possible weekend and evening work on request, and on-call duty.
- Full-time 35 hours per week, or 37 hours with 12 RTT days.
- Some benefits depend on a minimum contract length, from 6 months to 1 year.
