Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the entry grade is category C. People recognised as disabled workers can also apply through a contract.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Master cooking and culinary techniques
- Know and apply hygiene and safety rules, including the HACCP method
- Know stock management rules
- Be able to organise and lead a team
- Be able to write documents such as technical sheets and schedules
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: December 14 (Closes in 45 days)
Send your CV and cover letter through the employer's website, in the job offers section, quoting the offer reference. You can also apply from the offer page on Choisir le Service Public.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Management role over a kitchen and cleaning team
- Remote work not possible
- Category C job in a high school technical staff role
