Civil servants from all French public service branches can apply. Contract staff with several years of experience in the field can also apply.
Category: Category A (executive)
Experience: At least 5 years of team management experience.
The profile they look for:
- At least 5 years of team management experience.
- Ability to manage and prevent conflicts, and to negotiate.
- Very good writing skills and project management.
- Assertive, able to make clear decisions and explain them.
- Comfortable speaking in public, with a teaching approach.
- Driving licence B required, and knowledge of mountain areas.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- Frequent car travel, including in winter, and regular field trips.
- Uniform required; judicial or administrative policing duties possible.
- Pre-selection on file; interviews planned on 17 November 2026 at the head office.
