2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply by email, as stated in the offer. The file must be sent in 2 copies to the office of the inspecteur d'académie for your department of work.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- The post may be vacant from 1 September 2027.
- A T5 housing unit is mentioned in the offer.
- Files must be sent by 23/11/2026 at the latest.
- The offer text mostly describes the deputy head role, which may be confusing.
