Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of the local authority's sites.
- Able to manage and motivate a team.
- Able to handle different equipment, using correct work postures.
- Sense of priorities, punctuality, seriousness and availability.
- Sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category B driving licence required; category C, E and CACES certificates preferred.
- Occasional work on weekends and public holidays.
- Takes part in technical on-call duty and events.
