Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the post is open at entry-level grades of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Diploma from bac to bac+2 (BTS water professions, GEMEAU or VRD technician)
Experience: Confirmed experience in water, sanitation or public works
The profile they look for:
- Diploma from bac to bac+2 in water or road and network works.
- Experience in water, sanitation or public works.
- Knowledge of drinking water and collective sanitation networks.
- Leadership, autonomy and rigour.
- Ability to read plans and use technical software (AutoCAD, QGIS).
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Based at the head office, with regular travel across the area.
- Technical on-call duty for one week at a time, at night and on weekends.
- Remote work not possible.
