Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.

The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety rules.
- Knowledge of working methods in school canteens.
- Ability to organise work and manage conflicts.
- Good skills with Word and Excel.
- Team spirit, rigour and availability.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time of 39 hours 40 minutes per week, Monday to Friday.
- Technical on-call duties and travel between different sites.
- Lifting loads of about 5 kg.
- Leave must be taken in priority during school holidays.
