The profile they look for:
- Driving licence B required.
- Grave digger training certificate level 1, or ability to take it within 3 months.
- Knowledge of funeral rules and cemetery regulations.
- Ability to lead a team and organise work.
- Physical fitness for outdoor work in all seasons.
- Discretion and tact when dealing with families.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time of 38h20 per week, with rota duty on Saturdays.
- 25 days of leave and 19 days of RTT (time off in lieu).
- Also works at the cemeteries of Beaune-les-Mines and Landouge, outside Limoges.
- High contribution to public transport passes.
