Civil servants in the attaché or rédacteur grades can apply. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant application has succeeded.

- Knowledge of local authorities and colleges.
- Managing an expert and autonomous team.
- Ability to bring people together and organise cooperation between departments.
- Skills in producing diagnoses and summary notes.
- Public service ethos, rigour and mediation skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your application by email to the President of the Conseil départemental, quoting the reference in the offer. You can also apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
